Who depicts women negatively in hip hop? Men or the women themselves?
When people like Ashley Judd say or agree with her statement “As far as I'm concerned, most rap and hip-hop music – with its rape culture and insanely abusive lyrics and depictions of girls and women as 'ho's' – is the contemporary soundtrack of misogyny."
Everyone always attacks & questions the men, what about the women?
Do they consider, ask, know, or even care that MOST of these women are PAID to ACT, or choose to depict themselves in that fashion. YES there are men & women that take advantage of immature , gullible, inexperienced women.
Come to think of it, there are plenty of MEN that depict themselves in a questionable manner.*Hellur, How Ur Drin" ITS CALLED ACTING. Does Ashley Judd or anybody throw they're "Perfect world opinions" around after actors are acclaimed, nominated, even rewarded, for roles as serial killers, rapists, drug dealers, crooked cops, racists, child molesters, gangsters, GOD, The Devil, Demons, slutty women, etc....
So who's to blame, and more importantly, WHO CARES? If you want to change it, stop putting your energy and attention to it. Re-direct your energy & attention to the change you seek.
P.S. I don't want people to stop speaking they're mind so that's why I'm not directing my energy toward people who DON'T lol.

This young man makes a very valid point, but there is much more that can be discovered and learned from this perspective.
